Are You Ready?
“We’re not ready!”
It’s the most frequent responses from companies trying to decide whether or not to participate in the “Best Companies to Work for in BC” survey.
But what does being ready actually mean? How do you really know whether your company is ready or not?
For starters – there is no such thing as a “perfect” company. Becoming a best company…top employer…employer of choice… or whatever else you choose to call it, is a journey and taking part in the process is the first step.
To successfully accomplish this first step: openly communicate with your team that you may not be the best right now, but that you’re committed to doing all you can to get there. Inviting their participation includes them on the journey and shows you care.
Being “ready” means you’re committed to the process. You want to make the necessary changes to be the best you can be.
